现在分词和过去分词表示主被被以及时间的停止和延续

在句子中，现在分词可以表示谓语与逻辑主语的主动关系，以及可以表示 动作或状态一直延续至今；过去分词可以表示被动状态，以及动作已经完结的语义。
问题： 假如句子想表达 进行状态下的被动语义呢，该如何表达，是用being+done么

题目以及答案我完全明白，只是，C选项，假如作者想表达 “extend” 这个动作 happened inthe past， 是用extending 还是extended？

一般动作：doing表主动，done表被动。
进行动作：doing表主动，being done表被动。
完成动作：having done表主动，having been done表被动。
（注意 having done/having been done不可作定语，只能做状语。）
