这题被讨论的很多，我也看了不下20个帖子，但仍然有疑问。
og这里说使用extending是出于对持续的考量，因为这个fungus现在还在，这个延展到30acres的状态仍然存在。如果使用extended就是会表达出现在不是这样的含义。但是我刚开始的想法是由主被动确定的，扩展是主动动作所以用了主动，看之前的帖子也有很多前辈这么认为。
在这个题目里这两者（tense and voice）是统一的，我的疑问是如果是不统一的情况呢？比如此句里的fungus现在已经死亡了，当年是extend到30acres，那我要者表达的话要用extending还是extended？
分词表达的含义到底是怎么权衡，还是说如果是这种情况就没法用分词很好的叙述？请给位nn帮助

thx先！！！你说的有道理，这样确实违反了touch rule，尤其是在没逗号的情况下跳跃确实没听说过。那个分词的问题呢，主要是困惑在这里，到底是时态还是主被动啊

看了这么多帖子，spawned和extending的修饰对象从tentacles和fungus之间转来转去都晕了，你这么一提点总算又清晰起来了。。。分词形式所携带的时态信息我一直感觉很飘，好像有时候考虑有时候不考虑，始终没有很好的感觉
