LZ再好好看看LS给您的讲解，spawn再怎么也不可能是谓语啊，spawn和extending做定语修饰filigree，但是由于fungus that is filigree，言外之意就是对等啊，所以后面的修饰语spawn修饰filigree，也就是在修饰fungus。

句子的结构就是：a giant fungus that is an interwoven filigree ... spawned ... and extending...
