I agree. The problem with investment banking, besides the hours and the lifestyle, is that you become trapped in it. A lot of people think that they can do 2-3 yrs of IB and then go on and do something they like. The reality is that those 2-3 years will suck, but you will also grow used to making a lot of money and spending it. Once you get used to not thinking much about small luxuries here and there, it's very, very, very hard to turn back. Anything else you do, even starting your business, will require you to sacrifice your income for a period of time. That is much harder than most people think.
