我刚刚花整整30分钟写了一篇这个题目,结构比较另类,因为时间不够了,收尾很仓促 We are brought up to believe that book, as something which can convey knowledge and emotion, is of the first importance in any form of education. This theory, always, is beyond doubt. In the light of it, modern universities invariably invest large sum of money on the building or maintaining of the libraries, and I agree this is a good cause.
But just now I failed to mention that a multitude of universities, while spending money on libraries, ignore the indispensable role played by sports activities on campus-the truth is that the budgets on sports instruments, when compared with the ones on libraries, are pathetically low. From my perspective, sports activities and libraries are equally crucial in any university.
It would suffice to mention the positive effects from the sports activities to support my standpoint-sports activities should be allotted with the same money with libraries. As no doubt, students in many universities currently live under the intense stress triggered by the formidable academic study. According to this situation, it is not difficult for any of us to come to the conclusion that they need something to help them to release such harmful pressure. Sports activities, indubitably, can act such a role perfectly. Via taking sports, I believe, students can relieve the stress, as in the playgrounds they can run frantically to chase the ball and thoroughly enjoy the leisure. In this avenue, their worry and anxiety reduce and self-recupuration begins. My brother, let me say, is a student in a top university. In his first year, he found it next to impossible to keep his leading position in academic fields as he used to do in high school due to the fact that in top universities, the most students’ capabilities are outstanding, even supernatural. As my brother felt a twinge of being thrown behind by others, he began to immerse himself in the libraries-this, directly, drove him into a state of great angst-there were so many books that it seemed he could never overcome this challenge. Fortunately, in his university, there were many sports activities. Every time when he felt exhausted, mentally, he brought his Spalding basketball and tied up his Air Jordan shoes, and then went to the indoor court for a shooting practice. After 300 times of shooting, his shirt was saturated with sweat-in spite of being worn out, physically, he released the negative grasp in his brain because physical excise successfully draw his attention to another field of interest. And after sports activities, he said, he felt recharged and vigorous so that he could concentrate on study again.
Well, from my brother’s experience, we can see it easily that sports activities are worthy of being given with the same sum of money that given to libraries. |
