1st: in respect of vaccination, malaria and lime disease are similar to some extent. For many years vaccination in human is in low priority. Even some experts insist that tick bites were treated as avoidable. And it can be cured by antibiotics. Hence, there was little incentives for company to develop and market. Take RM‘s example to certify above views. The author points out three powerful question about vaccination.
2nd: even though we understand that there are discouraging considerations and doubts, on both side s of Atlantic are developing vaccine. One of the reason is recognition. Lyme disease in some high-risk areas. The interrupting transmission controlling is limited to some extent. Especially for outdoor workers and residences near deer and infected ticks.
