Nowadays, people pay more attention on the education. Teachers, as the main power of spreading knowledge, bear a huge responsibility of educating students not only about new knowledge but also about their life and value.

To begin with, education means a lot in modern society. In order to become competitive when finding a job, many people choose to have their further education. In this way, teachers play an important role to help their students realize and achieve goals. Speaking of this, I am so honored that my teachers teach me a lot of practical accounting knowledge. During my internship in the finance department of a company, all the knowledge I learned from the class do me a lot of favor to solve the problems.

Second, sometimes students have to choose among choices, then teachers can use their knowledge and experience to help their students find the best way. Compared with the old days, we truly have a more complex world. There are many sources of information that confuse us. I often have the feeling like I am standing in the center of a crossing road. Many people walk pass by me and I just do not know where to go. At this time, teachers can give suggestions to their students and perform like a light to lead them towards a bright way.

The last but not least part of my assertions is that teacher is a noble position since teachers also bear huge responsibility to educate students about the right values. Let’s take Einstein' story as an example. When Einstein was awarded the  Nobel Prize, the first person he wanted to thank is his kindergarten teacher. His teacher found his potential and told him he is different and unique from other children. He just kept these words in mind and it turns out that these words do have great influence on Einstein’s life. With the development of information era, we can access to more information and ideas than before, so we need to have a more critical eyes on this world and hold a right value. Teachers are not the only but one of the groups of persons to help the new generation.

To sum up, since we live in a more complex society than before, teachers today have more influence and valued more as well. Teachers are not only the envoy of spreading knowledge but also the lights leading students road of life.

As we all know that Rembrandt is the most famous painters in history. Recently, researchers found a new painting of Rembrandt but there are some doubt about it. The article shows three points of speculating the painting is not worked by Rembrandt, however the lecture hold the opinion differing from the main ideas in the reading and refutes them one by one.

Contrary to the belief in the passage that the fur collar is inconsistent with the woman in the portrait, the professor says that actually the fur collar is added by other people about 100 years after Rembrandt created the painting. In the original version of the painting, there is no fur collar. The person who added this thing may want to make the painting looks more expensive.

The professor refutes the viewpoint shown in the  passage that the light and shadow in this painting is not appropriate since Rembrandt is known as the master of painting light and shadow, the professor notes that after removing the top of the painting, researchers can see the original work. In the original version, the woman was wearing a light color cloth. In this way the light and shadow in this painting is consistent with the surrounding.

Another important point shown in the reading material is that the panel is made of several pieces of wood glued together and this method is not the common way Rembrandt used. However the listening presents a conflicting idea that the extra wood is glued by other people with the intention of making the painting looks wider. Rembrandt has nothing to do with the change. On the other hand, the original wood is the same tree which Rembrandt used for his another painting.
