8月20日 your job has more effect on your happiness than your social life does.

Some people think their jobs bring them happiness, they have a high salary to pay bills, buy new houses or cars, all of which give them a great sense of pleasant. On the other hand, others pay more attention to their social life. From my point of view, I incline to the second choice. Social connections with friends and relatives make me feel happy.

In the first place, being with friends is more interesting than working. I am kind of social and open person, so that going out with friends to play football, swim or eat at restaurant is what I prefer to do. Spending time with friends is stimulating and provides a mental break from my daily routine of workplace. I feel happy and relaxed when I am with my close friends. In contrast, my job is boring and monotonous-I have to do the same thing from the begining to the ending. Therefore I do not feel happy or unpleasant when I am working, becuase it never affect my emotion.

Another equally important factor why I consider social life have more effect on my happiness is that I love being with my relatives or friends, such as share their views on various subjects or events. We can exchange each other's opinions about society, political or love thereby I can gain some information or knowledge. Chatting in such an harmony atmosphere always makes feel that I belong to a large family, and feel secure. Furthermore, when I feel depressed such as I failed an exam or was blamed by boss, it is my friend who soothe me but not my job.

Admittedly, job provides me salary to support myself and my family, some financial rewards for being done well on job are attractive to me to some extent. I learnt for tens of years in order to prepare for my future job in school, the confirmation from my work is important for me to continue my career. I also can gain reputation if I do excellent work at our company. However, all of these are not tightly relate to my happiness. One reason is that when I was little, I played together with my friends. And every year I went to my relatives home to see them with my parents. It was them who made me feel like I was human being but not just a worker in a factory.

In conclusion, my job offers me money and reward, after years of experiences I can get reputation from my career as well. All of these, compared with my friend and relatives, become less meanningful to my happiness. Indeed, social life affects me more on my happiness than my job does.

The reading text talks about three ways to address the decline of Torreya trees. On the contrary, the speaker does not agree with the author the ideas offered in the passage, in her opinion, none of these methods provide satisfactory solution to this problem.

First, unlike what has been said in the reading passage that relocate Torreya trees to its origional areas will help to prevent the decline, the leaturer states that the climate in the original area had already changed a lot. For example, larger climate changes-global warming, human activity also influenced by drainning the wetland- make northern part of Florida drier. As a result, it is unlikely  that Torreya trees can survive in this place as what suggests in the reading.

Second, contrary to what has been proposed in the passage that moving Torreya trees to an entirely new place may be helpful, the professor says that this may cause unpredicted consquences. She further explains that another tree which had been moved by human to a new place had killed many native trees there. Some of the trees been killed are in danger or will become extinct. This directly contradicts its counterpart in the reading text.

Third, the professor points out that preserve Torreya in reserch certers will not be successful. The reason is that research centers can not keep large number and genetically diverse Terreya trees. Therefore, the trees in research centers can not resist to diseases in the long term as their counterparts in the wild places. As a result, the last solution is also disputed by the professor.

The reading text talks about three ways to address the decline of Torreya trees. On the contrary, the speaker does not agree with the author the ideas offered in the passage, (这里增加一个连词吧,and或者其它)in her opinion, none of these methods provide satisfactory solution to this problem.

First, unlike what has been said in the reading passage that relocate Torreya trees to its
origionaloriginalareas will help to prevent the decline(感觉用一个unlike 接一个这么长的句子有点别扭,是否用从句好点,while), the leaturer(lecture) states that the climate in the original area had already changed a lot. For example, larger climate changes-global warming, human activity also influenced by draining the wetland- make northern part of Florida drier(是否可以改为some factors, such as , have made ..drier 这样主谓宾清晰点). As a result, it is unlikely that Torreya trees can survive in this place as what suggests in the reading.

Second, contrary to what has been proposed in the passage that moving Torreya trees to an entirely new place may be helpful; the professor says that this may cause unpredicted consequences. She further explains that another tree which had been moved by human to a new place had killed many native trees there. Some of the trees
been killed (去掉吧,另外注意时态) are in danger or will become extinct. This directly contradicts its counterpart in the reading text.

Third, the professor points out that preserve Torreya in research
certers(centers) will not be successful. The reason is that research centers can not keep large number and genetically diverse Terreya trees. Therefore, the trees in research centers can not resist to diseases in the long term as their counterparts(这里是指在野外的同类吗,用counterparts感觉不是很好) in the wild places. As a result, the last solution is also disputed by the professor.

总体不错,知识点都写到了,做完如果有时间,还可以在检查下。

8月21日It is often not a good thing to move to a new city or a new country because of the lose of oldfriends
Moving to a new city or a new country may at the cost of the lose of old friends, it is true for some people. After the moving, friends can not communicate to each other so frequently as before. For example, they have no chances to play football in the playground, no time to eat at restaurants and chatting together. Therefore, some people are unwilling to move to other places concernning about this potencial lose of old friends. On the contrary, I do not agree with these pessimistics, and strongly believe that new environment bring us opportunities to contact with different people, and moving to new places does not necessarily lead to the lose of old friends.

Firstly, moving to new places does not always means the lose of old friends. With the rapid development of communication technology, people nowadays can connect with their friends by cell phones, internet. At the same time, various transportations make it possible for people moving from one place to anther within only a few hours or even a few minutes. Therefore, if people miss their friends, they could meet them face to face immediately. Thus the connections between are not broken or damaged by distance. People can remain their friendships even with a long distance in this way.

In addition, moving to a different place give them a broad understanding of the society and different perspective about their own life, which they can share with their old friends to strenthen their friendship. Take my experience as an example: when I left my hometown and went to the university, I felt all the things around me were so different, and missed my home and my old friends. However, one year later, I began to adapt to the campous life and felt comfortable with the new environment. I shared my experiences with my old friends, they all said it was interesting, and they wanted to move to a new place as well. In this case, people such as me can share experiences with old friends, and this helps to strengthen our friendship.

One factor I cannot oversee is that if people stay in one place for too long, they will lose chances to improve themselves. Nowadays, the society is changing quilkly beyond people' imagination. In order to adapt to the always changing society, it is necessary for people to obtain the experience of living in an entirely new place. One of my friends once had an opportunity to study abroad, but his parents did not want him to be so far away from them. his parents worried about his safety and no one would help him as friends there. My friend, who was awaring of the lose his old friends, decided to give the chance up. Years later, when he had an opportunity to a higher position in his company, he found the requrement, which stated that one needs to have the experience of studying abroad impedes this promotion. As you can see, what a pity that he did not grasp the oppotunity years before.

To make a conclusion, living in the place where one was born means that one know other people in the community deeply, which makes us feel harmony and give us a great sense of belonging. However, after deliberately thinking on this topic, and based on what I have been discussed above, it is easy to find that the benefits of moving to a new place or country are so many.

In the reading text talks about three reasons that buzzers should be banned. However, the speaker uses his personal experiences as a buzzer to challenge the information provided in the passage, and concludes the information in the passage is misleading.

First, contrary to what has been wrote in the passage that buzzers give incorrect messages about the products they talk about, the speaker states that this is not the fact. He says that buzzers are people who use one product and then consider this product to be really good. Thereafter, the company will hire them. In other words, a company is unlikely to hire who knows nothing about their product.

Second, the speaker argues that people become even more critical when they talk with a buzzer. They ask many questions such as the price, the service, and how long the buzzer has used the product. If buzzers can not answer their question perfectly, they will not buy the product. This directly contradict its counterpart in the reading text.

Third, the speaker thinks that people who believe buzzers will do harm to social relationship are stupid, which is contrary to the argument in the reading. His reason is that buzzers are people who really talk about good products or services. At the same time companies who provide bad products or services can not have the chances to hire buzzers. In addition, he explains that the phone service he buzzed is really great and people will love it after they try this service. This good experience can help people to be more trustful and open to others.

8月21日It is often not a good thing to move to a new city or a new country because of the lose of oldfriends

Moving to a new city or a new country may (少be) at the cost of the lose(无n.词性,改为lost) of old friends, it is true for some people. After the moving, friends can not communicate to each other so frequently as before. For example, they have no chances to play football in the playground, no time to eat at restaurants and chattingtogether. (是想说play,eat,chat三个平行,还是play和eat+chat两部分平行?不过,这2种情况下,平行都不太对) Therefore, some people are unwilling to move to other places concernning about(concerning=about,二选一) this potencial lose of old friends. On the contrary, I do not agree with these pessimistics, and strongly believe that new environment bring(brings) us opportunities to contact with different people, and moving to new places does not necessarily lead to the lose of old friends.

Firstly, moving to new places does not always means the lose of old friends. With the rapid development of communication technology, people nowadays can connect with their friends by cell phones, internet. Nowadays, the society is changing quilkly(quickly) beyond people' imagination. In order to adapt to the always changing society, it is necessary for people to obtain the experience of living in an entirely new place. One of my friends once had an opportunity to study abroad, but his parents did not want him to be so far away from them. his parents worried about his safety and no one would help him as friends there. My friend, who was awaring(awawre本身就是adj.) of the lose his old friends, decided to give the chance up. 8月22日  parents should help children to do their work or encourage children to do their work independently

When I was little, I often asked my father for help at the time I had problems. My father was a chinese teacher, he knew what all the answers of my questions. Years later, I went to high school where was far away from home so that my father was not available for my questions any more. I had to deal with all of my problems with my own efforts. At first I felt uncomfortablet to do this, as time passed on, I learnt how to couple with all of them. Thus, based on my own experience, I compared these methods to solve questions and found the second-work independently was better.

Firstly, working independently helps children cultivate independence that can benefit them in the future. In order to finish work, childrne need to search for information through internet or their textbooks. Then they have time to review knowledge learnt during the day. Also, the mistakes they made in their wokr give them chances to find out their weak points. By correcting their mistakes and convert their weak points, they become more developed. These experiences are important when children grow up and start their work independently.

Another equally important aspect is that solving problems on their own help children foster their creative thinking abilty. If parents tell their children what to do step by step to work out schoolwork, it would establish a formlua for children when they confront with other questions. They will use what they learnt from their parents to solve questions they face, which will do harm to their creative thinking ability. On the contrary, if they have to work on their own problems without help, they have not choice but think as hard as they can to deal with them. Some new ideas are created in these processes. Such as in high school I began to create new methods to deal with problems. I tried to understand the knowledge in a different ways from what my teachers said, and pointed out some mistakes they made in classes.

One factor I cannot oversee is that parents' experience are correct sometime and they have patience to help children. On the other hand, it is not to say they have the ability to solve all problems for their children. Parents' knowledge are limited, they lack some current information to solve special questions in their children' schoolwork, sometimes they may give to wrong answer. A primary student I know once ask her parents a question about English, but her parents never learn English before.

To make a conclusion, children could solve problems quickly and crrectly most of the time with the help from their parents. Children can easily develop dependence on their parents, which is harmful for their future life and study. Thus, based on what had been discussed above, I firmly believe that it is better for children to do their work independently.

The reading text talks about damages caused by the "let it burn" policy. On the contrary, the speaker does not agree with these arguments in the passage, and she says that natural fires are one part of the ecosystem cycle, and the creative impact of the natural fires is essentially good.

First, contrary to what has been said in the passage that Yellowstone's trees heavily damaged, the professor states that natural fires provide opportunities for other trees to grow. For example, trees which need open areas and unshaded places can grow after the fires, at the same time, the seeds of some trees that need high level of heat in order to germinate have the chance to grow after the fire. Therefore, after the fire, vegetation will thrive in the park.

Second, the professor explains that after the recovery of trees, some animals such as rabbits and hares will come to the park because these plants offer an ideal habitat for them. Then, large anilmals which pray on these small animals will return to the park as well. As a result, the food chain will be much stonger than it was before the fire.

Third, the professor admits that local tourism will be influenced if the fire happens every year, but this assumption is not ture. She further points out that the fire in 1988 was unusual and it did not happen after 1988 and will not happen in the furture since less rain, unusual strong wind and dry climate worked together caused this fire. In fact, tourists came back the next year and continued to visit the park every year. Consequently, the points made by the critics in the reading passage are unsounded, according to the speaker.

8月23日 For future career success, is relate well to other people more important than studying hard at school?

In order to have a successful career after graduation, some students believe it is important to relate well with classmates, professors and other people whether on the campous or in the community around the school. Other sdudents hold another opinion, they pay most of their attentions to study such as listening carefully to professors in classes, asking questions after classes, and then getting high scores in the tests. When I was a freshman in university, I also had the same question-related well with others or studied hard? Now I work in a world famous company, and finally find study is more essential for my success in my work.

One of the primary reason is that student's knowledge on major subjects are the foundation for their jobs after their graduation. It is the trend nowadays that the requirement of companies become more and more strict. Students need to work hard at school so as to meet these requirements. Take one of my friends' experience as an example. He inclined to have a position at China Mobile, but did not scored high enough on College Engligh Test-Six, which was one requirement of the company. Indeed, all of my classmates and me considered him as a good man who were ready to help others. He participated in various activities at school and spent most of his time on these things so that he could not concentrate on his study. What a pity he lost this chance!

There is also a more subtle point we must consider, students who work hard have more chances to do researches so that they can communicate wiht others. When I was a senior in university, I worked hard on my study and got high scores on all of the courses. My physics professor witnessed my good performances and then he asked whehter I would like to join his research group which was supported by a famous company. I agreed to take part in the group and made quite a progress one year later. I kept in touch with lots of experts in this field and also knew other excellent engineers. As you can see, working hard also provides more opportunites for students such as me.

What's more, good habits can be formed by the process of studying hard, which is beneficial for students' success in the future. It is obvious that if a student study hard, he/she will pay attention to what the professor's main points in the classes, and how the speaker regulates his/her lecture. When these students start working, they can easily organize their schedules, grasp the main points of the employers. All of these are helpful to have a successful career.

Of course, my own experience is very special and specific. Therefore, whether it can be used to you readers remains to be tested. However, from my point of view, I firmly believe studying hard at school is more important for future career success.

TPO 21
In the reading text talks about benefits of planting genetically modified trees to farmers. On the contrary, the speaker does not agree with these points. She argues that people can easily find some problems with this phenomenon if they look closely to it.

First, contrary to what has been said in the reading text, the professor states that genetically modified trees are more likely to be wiped out under some conditions. She then explains that natural trees are genetically diversified. Therefore some of them can survive when some climate changes or insect infections coming to these natural trees. However, genetically modified trees are more uniform and if some diseases or climate changes which they are not designed to resistant happening, they are likely to die out.

Second, opposed to the author's opinion that genetically modified trees bring economical benefits to farmers who plant them, the professor explains that the hidden cost is even higher compared to plant natural trees. The reason is that companies charge farmers more money for seeds. At the same time farmers need to pay companies every time they plant these modified trees according to the law.

Third, unlike the point in the passage that genetically modified trees can prevent willd trees, the speaker points out the fact is that they will do harm to natural trees. She says that genetically modified trees grow aggressively among natural trees. These trees compete for sunlight, soil, water and other resources with natural trees. In this case, genetically modified trees cause damage to native trees. This directly contradicts its counterpart in the reading text.
