8月29日The best way to improve the quality of education is to imcrease teachers' salaries
What do you think is the best ways to improve the quality of education, such as in elimentary school, high school, and also in university and college? Is it working  to improve teachers' salaries? I bet most teacher agree with increasing their salaries and, on the other hand, parents, government do not think so. Indeed, from my point of view as a student, I disagree with the statement for the following reasons.

In the first place, other factors, the teaching facilities and the academic level of teachers, are more important than increasing teachers' salaries. Hardly can we imagine the fact that one school gives its teachers $10, 000 per month, but the teaching facilities are in bad condition. Without basic libraries, science certer, and other important buildings for students, the quality of education is difficult to improve. Also, if more of the school's budget is spent on teachers, there would be not sufficient money to buy teaching facilities or the hire new excellent teachers, which are all essential to improve education quality.

Moreover, teachers will be distracted from teaching by more money can be spent on entertainments such as long distance travel or a larger house. On one hand, compared to other types of careers, teachers are well paid. On the other hand, teachers have more spare time and long vacations. More money will directly lead to the result that teachers spend their time on thinking about planing a trip to several places, buy a sports car, a much bigger house. Personaly I do not think these ideas are not suitable for teachers, but if they spend more time on these things, the time they pay attentin to the teaching decreased. And it will cause the teaching quality of the teahers decreased intead of improved. Finally, the quality of education can not be ensured in this case.

Admittedly, I have to acknowledge the fact that teachers desire a reasonable salaries to support their family. The point I do not consider correct is that high salaries can help to improve education quality. No one can deny that fact that students are the center of school education, and the main role of education is to educate students for their future successes. As a result, more attention should be paid to students but not only to improve teacher' salaries.

In conclusion, teachers are considered as master educators of human beings, their quality of life should be ensured. It is no doubt that teachers have a reasonable salary, however, the method of giving all teachers high salaries to improve the quaity of education is invalid.

The reading text talks about questions that cast doubt on one painting of Rembrandt, and claims that this painting is not a work of him. On the contrary, the speaker argues that even the arguments in the passage are ture to some extent, but after thoroughly examination by experts, the painting is proved to be indeed painted by Rembrandt.

First, contrary to what the passage said that the woman's dresses are not consistent,  the speaker points out the fact is  that the cause of the inconsitency-the fur collar-is not on the original painting. In fact, after X-ray and anylsis by scientists, it is found that someone added the fur collar on the top of the original one one hundred year after it was made in order to increase its value by makng the woman seem like a normal lady.

Second, the speaker also refutes the point made in the reading text that light and shadow do not fit in the painting. She says that after the fur collar is removed, it can be seen that the woman is wearing light color clothes which can reflect the light to part of the woman's face.

Third, the passage also cites that the painting is made of several pieces of wood which glued together, therefore it is not Rembrandt's style. However, the speaker explains that since the fur collar was added to the original painting, the painting also was enlarged so that the painting was more grand and valueable. Indeed, another self-portrait of Rembrandt with a hat and the paintging of the woman was made from wood which came from the same treee. All of these two evidences help to convince that the added pieces of wood is not an evidence to prove the paintging is not one work of Rembrandt.

What do you think is the best ways to improve the quality of education, such as in elimentary* school, high school, and also in university and college?(个人的小意见哈。感觉SUCH AS后面的例子有点冗长,能否考虑去掉呢。) Is it working  to improve teachers' salaries?(这个我确定应该是Does it work表起作用的意思。) I bet most teacher agree with increasing their salaries and, on the other hand, parents, government do not think so.

Without basic libraries, science certer*, and other important buildings for students(without perfect infrastructure是不是会更简练更地道呢), the quality of education is difficult to improve. Also(Besides也许更好些), if more of the school's budget is spent on teachers, there would be not sufficient money to buy teaching facilities or the(the 去掉) hire new excellent teachers, which are all essential to improve education quality(quality of education,否则是中式的表达了).

Moreover, teachers will be distracted from teaching by more money can be spent on entertainments such as long distance travel or a larger house.(can be spent 和前面的teachers will be 总共出现2个谓语。语法错误) On one hand, compared to other types of careers, teachers are well paid. On the other hand, teachers have more spare time and long vacations. More money will directly lead to the result that teachers spend their time on thinking about planning* a trip to several places, buy a sports car, a much bigger house. Personaly* I do not think these ideas are not suitable for teachers, but if they spend more time on these things, the time they pay attention* to the teaching decreased. And it will cause the teaching quality(我感觉教学质量这个词就用标准的写法。它是文章的KEY WORD。不会算重复的问题) of the teahers* decreased intead* of improved.

As a result, more attention should be paid to students but not only to improve teacher' salaries(我感觉be paid to这个地方TO做介词后面接名词。所以but not only这最好是improving teachers’ salaries).

In conclusion, teachers are considered as master educators of human beings(as 去掉), their quality of life should be ensured. It is no doubt that teachers have a reasonable salary, however, the method of giving all teachers high salaries to improve the quality* of education is invalid.

It's more important for goverment to spend money to buide art museums and music performance center than to uide recreational facilities(such as swimming pool, playground)

No one can deny the importance of art museums and music performance centers to our society, or can one ignore the recreational facilities' role on the general health development of the public. Therefore, it is a tough question for the government to determine which is more important. In term of the current state, there are fewer and fewer who make a career of art, one the other hand, athletics has become a rapid developing industry. As a result, I think it is more rewarding for the government to support art museums and music performance centers financially, for the following reasons.

The first advantage of supporting are over recreational facilities is the beneficiary population. Art is a comprehensive field in which different people are able to appreciate, with the works ranging from the classic to the contemporary. On the contrary, the users of recreational facilties are limited to a small group of people, such as young students, professional sporters and so forth. A recent investigation shows that about 90% people are more willing to relax themselves in a art museum or enjoy a music with high quality.

Another point I want to stress is that the art nowadays is in greater demand for financial support than recreational facilities. With few exceptions such as pop music, art is not usually operated in a very profitable way. Lots of art museums, galleries, events, and lectures are just free to the public to be attractive to those who are not concerned. Talented as they are, artists just make a career of something else to ensure their income for their daily basic needs. One friends of mine is majored in art, he can not find a job, and has to stay at the corner of the street for painting self-portraits for people who pass by. If one art museum is built in my city, I think a job is available for him in the museum.

On aspect I can not oversee is that recreational facilities are beneficial for people' physical health. If people keep doing exercises regularly, they could enjoy a healthy body. But I bet doing exercises every few days in difficut for most people and, most of the time people pass by these facilities but do not use them. On the other hand, art museums and music performance centers are accessable to everyone in the society. A bady of five months old can enjoy the melody of a classic music or a famous painting. But he/she can not use recreational facilities.

In conclusion, art museums and music performance centers have a larger beneficary population, they are in greater demand of government's financial support. In addition, recreational faciliteis are not access to everyone in the society. Consequently, it is more important for governmen spending more money on art museums and music performance centers.

The reading text talks about evidence of dinosaurs are endotherms. On the contrary, the speaker argues that many scientists have problems about the conclusion made in the passage. These scientists do not think these evidence can prove dinasaurs were indeed endotherms.

First, the speaker explains that the climate at the time when dinasaurs lived was warmer that today's. As a result, dinosaurs could live in the polar region without keeping their body temperature in the certain degree. In addition, they could migrated to warmer places or hibrinated during cold seasons of the year. Thus, the polar dinosaurs evidence does not proves that they were endotherms.

Second, the speaker says that dinosaurs had four legs under their body in order to support their weight. By doing this, dinosaurs could grow into large size which had lots of advantages at that time. Therefore, the running evidence in the reading text is not sufficient enough to prove that dinosaurs were endotherms.

Third, the speaker admits it is true that dinosaurs had haversian canals. However, there were also thick growth rings on dinosaurs' bones. The growth rings indicated diansaurs growed slowly or even stoped growing during cool period of the year. In contrast, real endotherms growed quickly all around the year whether the surrounding environment was warm or cool. In this case, dinosaurs were not endotherms as the author said in the reading text.

As a result, I think it is more rewarding for the government to support art museums and music performance centers financially, for the following reasons.

The first advantage of supporting are(k,这个are好像有点多余,我语法不好,不知道它放在这儿合不合适呢,你读读看哈~) over recreational facilities is the beneficiary populationKTS最后的这两个词我在字典和google搜到的解释都怪怪的,是固定搭配?. Art is a comprehensive field(这个用得好~~ in which different people are able to appreciate, with the works ranging from the classic to the contemporary. On the contrary, the users of recreational faciltiesfacilities are limited to a small group of people, such as young students, professional sporters and so forth. A recent investigation shows that about 90% people are more willing to relax themselves in a art museum or enjoy a music with high quality.

With few exceptions such as pop music, art is not usually operated in a very profitable way. Lots of art museums, galleries, events, and lectures are just free to the public to be attractive to those who are not concernedk我感觉这里简化一点会更好,你觉得呢?. (小k你看这样行不行~这个例子从实写到虚,最后升华到提高艺术从业人员的就业率,你看行吗?)

On aspect I can not oversee is that recreational facilities are beneficial for people' physical health. If people keep doing exercises regularly, they could enjoy a healthy body. But I bet doing exercises every few days in difficut(小k下次你写错简单词就罚写作文100~哈哈,我也是,自罚,保证我两在考场上一个错词没有 for most people and, most of the time people pass by these facilities but do not use them. On the other hand, art museums and music performance centers are accessable(这个也是 accessible to everyone in the society. A bady(这个词是什么意思?) of five months old can enjoy the melody of a classic music or a famous painting. But he/she can not use recreational facilities.

In conclusion, art museums and music performance centers have a larger beneficary populationk,读到这里我终于明白这两个词你想表达什么了,受益人群,严重鄙视我自己, they are in greater demand of government's financial support. In addition, recreational faciliteisfacilities are not access to everyone in the society. Consequently, it is more important for governmen spending more money on art museums and music performance centers.

From my point of view, I agree with the viewpoint that people who get out of the village will be more successful and happier than those who stay. Hardly can one find opportunities to various career options and the chances to learn new skills if they stay in the village where lacks of connections to big cities. On the contrary, choosing to living all one's life in his/her born place is also a choice for people who do not want to move, and enjoy their lives there. After carefully consideration, I defend my position  for the following reasons.

In the first place, careers options is unparalelled in cities. No one can deny the fact that in a romote village, there are sometimes no roads link it to the outside world and, the supply of electricity is sufficient to support the consumpution of a factory which needs large amount of it to keep it daily function. It tends to be that no companies want to invest money in these places. Most of the villagers do simple works in the field year after year without any change in their whole life. In contrasty, various options for jobs are available in cities. They can be construction workers, factory employees and firefighters, the list goes on and on. In this case, people can easily find a job which is directly contribute to their success.

Another aspect I want to stress is that villagers have more opportunities to learn new skills if they get out of the village. Many educational instutions are suitable for them to take part in so that they can become more competent. Take my experience as an example, I lived in a traditional village in Northern China. Most of my friends choosed to stay at home since they thought it was easy to make a living in the village. But I did not want to do this like them. I went to a nearby city and learnt how to cook for restaurants. Now, I work in a large food company with a pretty salary which even causes the envy of my friends who still in the village.

In fact, I have to admit the fact that living in the village has some advantages. Those who stay do not have to worry about how they can make a living in one completely new place, which they think is too difficult for them. Moreover, their parents hope they stay in home to help them do houseworks and so on.

In conclusion, the career options and opportunities to learn new skills are the two main important factors for future success and happiness in my concern. Although living in the vallage is comfortable in some people' view, I am convinced that fure success and happiness is based on a good job and the chance to learn new skills in big cities rather than stay at the village.

In the reading text issues three uses of the "great house" in New Mexico. On the contrary, speaker casts serious doubts on the author's theories, saying that none of these points in the reading passage are convincing.

First, the reading says that one of the uses of these houses are residential. However, the professor argues that the building looks like a place for living. But there are not enough fire places inside these houses to ensure hundreds of families' daily cooking. The reason is that the fire places in the largest house can only support ten families, but this building is large enough to be lived by one hundred familes. Thus, the residential theory is totally unsounded.

Second, the reading also states that these houses could be used for storing maize. In contrast, the professor points out that there are not traces of spoiled maize on the floor. Furthermore, not one single of large container which are necessary for storing is found in these houses. As a result, although the space may be suitable to store large amount of food, the evidence which support this theory is no found, according to the professor.

Third, the author hypothesises that houses may be used for ceremonies, since the pots found in the mound inside these houses. However, the professor points out that other materials such as sand, stone, and building material are also be excated in the mound. In the professor's opinion, the mound is most likely to be a trash pile. Therefore, construction workers who built these houses at that time put these materials as trashes in the mound. Meanwhile, the professor further explains that the pots might be throwed away by construction workers after they ate their meals. In this case, the ceremonial theories is also unconvincing.
