我觉得应该选C。因为A中使用的是oleic acid, 而不是free oleic acid.但是C又和第一句话冲突。

第一句话逗号后面不是有一个yet,然而表转折吗?

最后一句话The proportion of free oleic acid that an olive oil contains is an accurate measure of the oil’s acidity. 是用来支持yet extensive tests have shown that the less free oleic acid an unrefined olive oil contains per liter, the higher its quality.  这句话的吧,都出现公共元素free oleic acid ,


A好象是out of scope啊,要说明的是free oleic acid 不是oleic acid,而且是unrefined,不是refined,没有lawyerNN想的那么复杂吧?第一次做很快就可以归纳出C啊,与原文方向一致,考试的时候哪有时间想那么多啊~~

when an olive oil is refined, as stated in A, does it still belong to the scope of unrefined olive oil? We need an assumption but we don't have.

原文:

(1)  A of UO  不能--> Q of UO

(2) FOA of UO↓ --> Q of UO↑

(3) FOA of O --> A of O  (注意不是FOA of O <---> A of O)

我觉得A、C都有问题:

A:文章只提到FOA,没有提OA,因此A的结论不能must be true(必须加入其他没有出现的信息才能推出A);lawyer的说法必须基于一点:最后一句中的an olive oil=refined olive oil。

C:从2、3可以看出原文一直在说FOA决定Q、FOA决定A,无法推出A决定Q,所以C不对

选A的朋友做了一个Assumption,即oil is refined = good quality.


其实文中根本没提过Refined的oil,一直在叙述 Unrefined oil.


A选项可以首先排除。


C的逻辑推理非常清晰、准确。

问题是,为什么


3。(提炼后)橄榄油的游离油酸等同于橄榄有的酸性(只有游离油酸,没有其他酸)


你为什么人为的加上了提练后呢?

1. 注意第一句的yet, 是反对前面的陈述, 也就是作者认为---The quality of unrefined olive oil should be actually defined in terms of acidity. 这句话应与extensive tests have shown that the less free oleic acid an unrefined olive oil contains per liter, the higher its quality所表达的意思一致. 由此可推出: acidity 就是 free oleic acid 的acidity.


2. The proportion of free oleic acid that an olive oil contains is an accurate measure of the oil’s acidity.


注意accurate. 如果olive oil 还含有其他的acid, 那么The proportion of free oleic acid 就不可能是an accurate measure of the oil’s acidity.





lawyer made a quote good argument, but two points should be made clear;


1,yet的作用没用上。 转折, 所以前面的就不能作为论据了。


2,lawyer 给第三句话加上提炼后, 有待商榷
