       一个大圆里面切了一个小圆，说小圆的outside diameter is equal to inside radius of the large circular. And the cross-section area of the large  circular is 49pai, what is the cross-section area of the small circular?

解：这个cross-section area就是圆面积 

      大圆面积 49pià大圆半径7à小圆半径7/2à小圆面积49pi/4

不知道这个题目是不是有图？实在是不明白这个inside radius和outside diameter 是怎么回事

哈哈....明白了

i w=2根号5 可以求出 矩形长^2=w^2-2^2=20-4=16 长为4  然后就可以求出 正方形边长 和 对角线长即 r啦

我的理解呢

可能不是相切那种切 可能是表达在里面切出一个小圆 同心圆 环状

然后小圆outside diameter 就是大圆R-小圆r  

大圆的内径 就是小圆r

所以 R-r=r    R=2r啦

PS 外汇兑换问题：

1dollar=0.8Euro    换钱后银行要收取4%手续费。换成了$1865，问用多少euro换成的?

 

解：假设欧元x,如果没有手续费，可以兑换 x/0.8 美元，列方程式

         (1-4%)*x/0.8 =1865

x~1554

          (计算过程中，先化简再计算能够加快速度)

我的解法是先算出美金的数额，然后乘以0.8就等于欧元了。但为什么结果不一样呢？

 

美金1865元=美金的本金+ 4%手续费

设美元本金为A，

则1865=1.04A，因此A=1865/1.04，

因为1美金=0.8欧元，所以（1865/1.04）美元×０.８＝题目里问的欧元数＝１４３４

 

觉得这样算也对，可为什么和楼主算的结果不一样啊？

22.  直角三角形两边（不是斜边）分别是15、20，求高？
答：12

22. 15^2+20^=x^2, so x=25

so height =12

I know how to calculate the hypotenuse but how do we know that in this one the height is 12 and not 15 or 20?

the height is not 15 or 20 because they are given. You need to find out the 斜边 first and use it as the base to find the height.

area is 15*20*1/2= 25*h*1/2
