doublejade是我们CBSF的成员，他在去年的申请中被U of Chicago, CMU和Kelley录取，现在在U of Chicago就读。在下面的一段时间内，他将在繁忙的学业当中抽出宝贵的时间，为大家解答一些关于U of Chicago的问题，再次对doublejade表示感谢。

我们初步准备采取以下的方式来进行：

1。如果有对学校的申请或者一般学校情况的问题，请大家在后面跟贴；
2。doublejade会在每个星期当中上来一到两次来回答大家提出的问题；
3。如果有特别紧急的问题需要帮助的，可以和我联系，然后我会通知doublejade。我想现在离开申请的deadline还有很长一段时间，因此我希望大家还是以跟贴提问为主。

在U of Chicago秋季开学之后，doublejade可能会相当忙，所以希望大家抓紧这段时间提问。

As a first year GSB student, I would be more than happy here to answer your any questions about admissions, curriculum, and life at GSB. Last year, I walked through the whole process of preparing for GMAT and TOEFL, writing essays, struggling in interviews, as what you are suffering. Now, sitting in GSB's classroom, I really hope more and more chinese friends will be here to join us, and it's my pleasure if my answers will shed some lights on your application to GSB, or your understanding of life at an US business school.

How much is your GMAT score and GPA?  What is the focus of the permission committe of U/C?

My GAMT and GPA are common in chinese applicant pool- GMAT 720 and GPA 3.3. I don't think GMAT and GPA play crucial roles in admission to top 10 business schools. Although, high GMAT and GPA might be necessary for scholarship decision.

A lot. One of my best friends from Argentina was a lawyer. He wants to change to IB career which requires strong quantitative analysis ability. The flexibility of curriculum at GSB allows you to choose almost any courses in different level. We have only one requried course- LEAD.

Not so good. A few still stay in Chicago, trying hard to land a job in US. But second-years' internship searching is not bad. 98% found an internship finally. Hope that's a good sign of job market recovering.

doublejade, are those students career changers? Or are they all looking for jobs in a specific industry, say IB?
