However, I believe that it is important for young people to be capable of planning and organizing because of severe illness, limited time, and rapid changed society.

The ability to make financial plan is important for young people, because they are facing more severe illness than before. For example, until now scientists have not found sure-fire plan to cure AIDS and cancer, and alone, these two diseases have killed a large number of people. Young people would rather work out a plan to solve this problem than be thrown into confusion when these two diseases torture their family members or even themselves. In order to be able to afford medical expenses, they should learn basic way to make financial plan, such as buying insurance, making investment, and practicing thrift. Therefore, it is essential for young people to make financial plan to against illness.

The pace of modern life makes time management is an essential skill for young people today, because not only they have more things to deal with in daily work but also their time are fractured by social website and electronic games. For instance, the invention of computer is a double-edged sword. It promotes productivity, but, in other words, young people have to do more work each day than in the past. On the other hand, the recreation function of computer may distract young people’s attention, thus decreasing their efficiency. Therefore, making plan and follow the allocated time could ensure people’s productivity.

Unprecedented rapid change of society increases the importance of scheduling, since it is a great challenge for young people to never fall behind times. Because of the popularity of Internet, the knowledge that is superior today might not be novel in tomorrow. It spreads so fast in the Internet that young people should have the ability to foresee what is advanced in the future and to make plans according to their predict. In this way, young people could keep pace with the times. Therefore, young people should never neglect the necessity for making plans and organize.  

Owing to the reasons as I mentioned above, I agree with the statement that responding to complex society, the youth should have the ability to managing their time, finance, and future.

In the discount season, it is impossible to make more than the wildest guess at how much an electronic book is sold. Books are priced at a few cents on the E-commerce websites, such as Amazon.com. Thus the relative low price makes book have more influence on society.

From the beginning of literacy, people invest a lot of effort in reading, while television is regarded as a way of entertainment, and people only could watch it in spare time. From primary to university, students read textbook to learn specialized knowledge. After class, they are required to read references, scientific magazines, and academic journals to complement their curricular knowledge. Even many of them are literature buff, spontaneously looking for books written by men of letters to relax. Hence, the influence of book began to be accumulated during people’s growth process, and the impact of television could never catch it up.

After novelty of the television faded, there is no comparison between book and television when people refer to value. The contents of books are carefully selected by publishing house. As is so often pointed out, books are a great genius leaves to mankind’s heritage. It’s much easier to achieve success without help from one’s family than in the past.

Modern people live in a more independent way than before: young adult people have their own houses rather live with their parents. Consequently, some people argue that not only could they live on their own, but also they could succeed without help from their families. Other people, including me, are against this idea, and I believe that it is too early to say that people could break away from support from family, because family allows people to receive education, provides people opportunities to promote themselves, and creates an atmosphere of success.

People without education are deprived of one of the greatest opportunities to succeed. To a great extent, parents, instead of people themselves, decide whether people could get great education, since it is the parent to pay tuition fees to schools. For instance, I attended one of the best primary schools in my city. Zillions of parents are eager to send their children to my school, and only few of them could obtain their heart desire. The reason why I could enroll at this school is not that I was smarter than others but that my parents could afford expensive tuition fee. Thus my experience in my childhood makes me realize that family paves the way for people to achieve success.

For students who are wet behind the ears, their parents’ connections give them more opportunities than the connections of themselves, because rarely could they make contact to importance person who could contribute to their career. Take my personal experience as an example. My parents have a good friend. He is in charge of auditing department in a famous accounting firm. When my internship application almost killed me, this uncle offered me an opportunity to assist his department’s annual review. What excited me most is that, at the end of my internship, my boss asked me to get another internship in my department next semester. Therefore, without the help from my parents, I could not be so close to success.

Family creates a successful atmosphere for general people. People born in a successful family are more likely to continue the success of their family. However, this possibility is quiet small in family that has not made something of a contribution. For example, George Walker Bush, the former president of the United States, was born in a highly respectable family-his father was also a former presidents of the United States. His success seems naturally to American people. But the election of Obama was out of people’s imagination. In such a long history, none of other people sharing the same background with him have done the same thing as he did before. Hence, the help from family plays an important role in people’s success.

Owing to the reasons I mentioned above, people benefit a lot from family’s help. With the help from family, they could easy obtain the resources critical to success.

In the listening, the profess thinks that having a team of people worked on a project actually leads to result opposite to what mentioned in reading passage. He uses a company’s experience to explain the reasons.

First, contrary to what is said in reading passage, the real contributors would not feel better about the group project. This is because some members got almost a “free ride”-they did not make contribution to group at all but benefited from the group. However the names of members who worked well were not named, because the success of group was considered as a whole. Hence, these contributors’ attitudes are different from what the reading predicts.

Second, conflicting with what mentioned in reading passage, the group worked less efficiently and even towards the wrong direction. On the one hand, it took so long to reach consensus, because the group held many meetings to discuss the project. On the other hand, some influential people made arbitrary decisions without further consideration.

Third, the professor raised another negative consequence resulting from members who have voice in making a decision. Once members were convinced of “a highly creative plan” from influencers, even though some members tried to warn other members that the project was moving towards the wrong way, their voice would be ignored. Therefore, the blame was posed on all group members when the project failed.
