Dennis,
Thanks for your question.
As to financing sources of MBA study, there are typically several soureces. 1) the first and most important is personal/family funds. 2)Loans. Some loans rq cosigners, while some don't. For most top 10 program, I guess there are some cosigner-free loan program to admitted intl' students varying on applicable amount, for that, check your target school's website. 3) scholarship. most business school provide a limited number of merit based scholarships. however, at most circumstances, those scholarship won't cover all of your tuition, and you also need to be responsible for the non-tuition living expense. 4)Institutional sponsorship. I heard that some firm may sponsor your study if you agree to work for them for a definitive period of time after getting degree. There are also some fundation that you may explore for sponsorship of your study, like Ford China Foudation.
Having said that, I need to caution you that MBA is by nature an investment. Your cost is the money, time and opportunity cost, and return will be your elevated career, learning and life experience, and life-long friendship with your fellow students. Since it's an investment, it has risks. I do see someone got into crisis and go divorced after graduating from b-school. The situation as you might imagine is, he/she didn't find a good job, but used up all the savings, and the lenders was out there pushing for repayments of the loan...
Sorry for exposing a very realistic side of the MBA study, but I believe it's good to those of you who are pursuing it as a dream.
