The greater majority of VC [with MBAs] come from Stanford and HBS. HBS/Stanford/Wharton/CBS/Chicago are stronger for PE. A lot of MIT people end up in banking/trading and consulting (not that many end up in PE and VC). Please correct me if I am wrong.
For starters we gotta spell the names right. It's "Monkey Business" and "Liar's Poker." Some movies to consider are "Barbarians at the Gate", "Other People's Money," and "Wall Street."
Just read/watch CNBC (read at cnbc.com), read on bloomberg.com/bloomberg magazine/bloomberg terminal (sometimes they have very very good stories), and read Wall Street Journal. Business Week and the Economist are good too.
