 答案是选D的，但是感觉前面In addition to her work on the Miocene hominid fossil record, 后面应该跟Leakey 而不是跟Leakey's contributions, 是不是应该选C呢？？？

跟你一样，第一时间就把D,E排除了，根据平行原则选了C

In addition to 后面跟的是动作（v+ing），那么，后面的名词应该是前面的逻辑主语，
