假设就是一个结论成立的必要条件，作者说，粮食短缺除了因为资源有限人口数量激增的另外一个原因是，很多农产品给动物吃了，所以粮食短缺了，问题问作者假设是什么，那么就是问凭什么作者认为因为喂了动物，粮食短缺了，所以很容易想到如果把这些给动物吃的给人吃，那么粮食就会多了。支持了作者的观点，也填补了“gap”，这个推理缺陷。算是一个必要条件吧。

 哈哈，我想了半天你的想法，说的不对希望你不要生气啊，我觉得你是不是认为，这个产生更多的食物是肉，or 牛奶之类？如果是这样的话，你的想法是有点道理的，就是说农产品喂动物，喂完了它们我们可以吃动物，还有蛋奶之类的，这样相当于投资,但是文中说的是农产品，貌似就是说这些喂动物的粮食，也就是暗含了不喂动物就喂人，只的是这点东西，没有考虑动物搞出来的东西。所以你想，如果假设喂动物的东西喂人能够喂更多人，显然就是喂动物很浪费资源。不知道你是明白了还是被我搞的更混乱了，希望能够帮到你。

天蟹MM，出来混要讲信用，说一起奋斗就一起奋斗，既然你搞来消息说要做prep数学，那就做吧，不要怕乱码，我起床后就开始疯狂的找，终于找到这个版本，貌似还不错，传上来，一起做吧，不知道你找的是不是这个版本啊。

xxz5838，你能下载了吗？能打开吗？我的电脑貌似很蠢，每次弄的文件都超大，传也传不上去，你太牛了，下班还要学习，真是不容易啊，我觉得突发奇想弄gmat最大的收获就是看到了一种活力和激情，我们都要“做有意义的事，好好活，好好活就是做有意义的事”，加油加油！！我也准备开始看一点作文，我总是逃避，还是笨鸟先飞，我怕到时候憋不出400字。哈哈。

I can download, but I don't have the software to open it, dumbass company computer . But I will do it the first thing when I get home like, say 3 hours from now.

I'm sure everyone has her/his hope, goal, and dream, and those are the things that drive us successful, as for now, GMAT keeps us up.

and I totally agree, everytime I come to CD, I always feel so much energy and inspiration from everyone. Like you said, keep it up, we can almost see "the light at end of the tunnel".

For essay, I haven't started yet, but I have some material (also from CD), I will post it up or email to you later.

As far as for this weekend, my best hope is to complete Prep Math and keep it up in my other sections.

Therefore, if the these acreages can be switched to grow crops fed to people and such corps can produce more food for people, the scarcity of food will be reduced by this practice alone.

(E) basically gives the assumption that those switched acreage will yield more food for more people.

This is how I understand it, hopefully it helps.

看了，感谢！昨天怎么想也想不明白，老觉得是weaken不是assumption。今天早上起来琢磨了下，也看了两位的解答，突然明白了，我把我的思路说一下，呵呵

题目说：食物紧缺是因为一些土地上的粮食没有给人吃而给了家畜吃

前提：那些土地上的粮食必须能给人吃，而不是只能给家畜吃，句子的重点在于for people。因为如果那些土地上的粮食只能给家畜吃不能给人吃，那么人吃的粮食就跟这些土地上的粮食无关，也就不能造成食物紧缺。

现在想不起来我昨天是怎么想的了……哈哈

这几天被大家鼓励着安慰着，觉得好幸福啊，也许是以前太不幸福了，呵呵。那我去做prep数学了。
