Hi heslaw,

I am third year student in Leeds University Business School,doing Accouting and Finance. I am very interested in the MsF programm in LSE. I got a First in my second year study and my cohort randing is 4th out of 79 and generally that is all my background. I have a couple of questions:

1. No w/e and intership experience, dose this jeopardise my application? or do you think it is a must-have for the admssion?

2. Currently I am working hard on my personal statement with which I think I can don sth to make me stand out. so, I wonder if you could give me some advise about this.

Basically, that is all and really appreciate you help !!

senior, top university, natural science gpa 20%, dual degree in economics gpa 90+, a intership as financial consultant, a reseach experience, no thesis, no international experience .GRE Q800(v&A 不考虑吧~). T101.

请问一下在伦敦咨询公司的工作是不是比金融类的工作好找一些呢？如果想在咨询业发展那么申贵校的那个项目会比较好呢？该项目的竞争录取难度大概是怎样呢？

抱歉这个问题与金融不太相关，但实在是找不到知道这些信息的人。

1. absolutely no. there are ppl without internships in the class at the moment of application. dont worry about that. it is a good time for you to get one this summer. that will help your job hunting in 2010

2. sure. we can do that during the holidays.

your academic qualification should be sufficient. got to work out a plan for your PS. 

there are many applications with excellent academic qualification, but what differentiate you from them?

it is ok,  i have some ideas about consulting too.

consulting is generally easier for native English speaker. however, i should say, consulting is more of a cultural job. therefore, you can study in LSE and find placements in Asia ( thats what i thought, HK can be an ideal place)

then you got to know what you want to do in consulting, financial consulting, strategic consulting, business consulting , etc etc

furthermore, how do your characters fit the job? after you figure out those points, you should have an idea.
