does anyone know how stanford defines international students? by legal status? i sent an email to the adcom already, but no answer, maybe it's because they're on break.

答:According to the class profile on their website, internationals includes all non-US citizens (including those with Green Card). I don't know whether they have a different definition internally.
My concern is that does the adcom put the international applicants in one pool and the US citiznes in another. i know a lot of colleges do that with admissions for undergrads. or does the adcom put everyone in pool, so everyone is competing with each other for a spot in bschool.
Even if the Adcom does that (although they never admit it), is there anything you can do? Worry about the things you can change, not the things completely out of your control. Besides, I think your qulification is significantly more important than your nationality, on the flip side, you don't want to be part of the schools that don't value diversity anyway.
thank you so much for your advice. i really appreciate your input. deadlines are coming up. yes, i will work hard on my essays. thanks so much for taking time out of your holiday schedule to answer our questions!
