中的the collateral against which farmers borrow to get through the harvest season是不是做定请从句，  which 指逗号前面的farm equipment and land

which=the collateral=values(for farm equipment and land) 不同意

农民是以农器具和土地的价值为抵押。抵押的是价值，下降的也是价值。整个前句的核心词就是values，其他都是修饰成分。不同意

which = the collateral = farm equipment and land

农民是以农器具和土地为抵押, 被抵押的只能是实际物品，而不是价值。因为如果农民不能还钱，被银行没收抵债的只能是做为抵押的物品，而不是这些物品的价值。

同位语和主语是没有必要单复一致的！咱就别管了！咱只要知道什么是不对的！哈哈

当然，如果这两个东西不是同位语。。。

我也觉得这个against指向的应该是farm equipment and land, 因为collateral指的是抵押物而不是抵押物的价值, 下面引用collins的解释:

collateral: money or property which is used as a guarentee that someone will repay a loan

是的，这里的the collateral有两重角色，一是做farm equipment and land的同位语，二是做which的先行词，起到一个桥梁作用。
