In A, "insecure" does not seems to be right. I feel that "insecure" is not the same as "not secure".

这题不是靠什么倒装，是虚拟语气。 A 没有用虚拟，应该是thier grip on leferia would + 动词原型。表示与现在相反。

我觉得这句话的主语是MOROCCO, 那就应该是MOROCCO afford  strategic proximity.....

还有这题是用虚拟语气，用的结构是与现在事实相反的那种是吗?

同意楼上的，主语是morocco, 应该是morocco afford

还有那个因果关系的句子，because they,从语法上来说，应该是指，morocco但是为什么用复数？？

前半部分的倒装是正确的，主要是省略了if造成主语混乱，主句混乱。never would their grip on Algeria be secure if they did not hold it 或者never would their grip on Algeria be secure should they  not hold it .我认为就可以。

不过不能改变原句的语气，所以倒装即使用对了也不能选

解释中提到if X happened ,then Y would happen。我以前一直以为在这中句型里IF 要引导一个完整的句子，这里把if without it放在主句前面是为了it 更好的指代Morocco，在后面就会因为IT 离得太远引起指代不清的嫌疑，那这样they 只能指代French？

这句话的意思谁翻译一下？
