解释瑞士电力供应充足增长的原因：杰出工程师，训练有素的工人，丰富的水力资源，运作良好的财政机构。

反驳：
1.工程师和工人，大多数技术实际上是从国外买来的技术和专利。从BBC三家公司来看，工人的技术只是有一点边缘效果。
2.19世纪很多国家都有丰富的水利资源，但是没有谁象瑞士这样发展了电力，所以关联不大。好像，硅谷的蓬勃发展根源于最初加州很多企业家容易获得硅资源。
3.财政机制也不对，大多数当时电厂筹建的资金并不是来自金融机构而是中小股东，另外就是政客为了拉票的投资。

观点：实际上瑞士电气化是因为民众对电的着迷，zurich和法兰的两次大展会让电在民众中有了广泛的政治和经济基础。几年之后银行们才考虑投资电厂。1895年银行投资电厂前，瑞士已经建立起了70座电厂，产电能力达到了历史高峰。

提问：为什么瑞士人当时对电力这么着迷，这个热情如何转换成了电力高产量？怎么消除的技术壁垒，而且集体看好电力的未来？

观点：精英阶层自上而下的影响。
反驳： 如果是这样，哪精英阶层需要一个共识，但是当时银行的拒绝和政治上对立法的不予理睬都说明精英阶层并未达成这样的共识。
