P1: Rc dating can determine 30,000 years object, but not accurate from 20,000 years old. But Ams could determine much earlier time.
P2: C-14 containance is little in the anciant bones,the modern carbon could change the results a lot. Rc dating also has sample size and background radiation problems, all that make the determine not accurate. But Ams dating does not have the problems.
P3: Ams has major impact on dating the first human migrations to the NW.
P4: Ams has impact on the chronology of N man.

P1: 传统方式问题—引出新方式（AMS光谱测定法）
传统的Radiocarbon dating方式在30,000年前内的管用，但在20,000前的物种则不管用。Accelerator Mass Spectrometry 光谱测定法可以解决，把时间再往前推。

P2：旧方式的局限性，AMS的不受该局限影响+例子（AMS好1）
很小量的现代碳元素感染会很大影响测量。且越老的东西影响越大。
因此：样本去污染过程很重要。但是1. 这个过程导致样本会很小——传统的 Radiocarbon dating 方式不行；2. 面对insurmountable problems 去分辨从自身上来的 radiation or ambient background.
Accelerator Mass Spectrometry 不受两个缺点的影响。
例子：旧方式不能保证不受modern carbon影响。AMS通过骨头amino acid发现至少比之前低估了1000年。

first human migration的定时代，决定怎么判断paleo-Indian人移民。
观点1：（大多数支持的）第一批来美国的人来源于北亚， 约25k~12K年前
^但人骨显示更早。
