The University of Chicago MBA 2007 taking questions

Hi Machinegun, sorry to bother you with another silly question about TOEFL: I got a good score - 673, only making one mistake in the reading part,but my TWE is pretty awful - 4. Will this really overshadow my application to University of Chicago, GSB? Thanks for your advice.

May I ask one more question? What do you think GSB will be seeking most in an applicant if he/she wants a career switch thru MBA? Thanks for your advice again.

Sorry for being late.

To be frank, b-school will not have bias when looking at your application if you are a career changer. What the adcom people look at is your fit to the school and your future career goal.

Interestingly, more than 50% of the students here in Chicago GSB are career changers. Hope this helpful.

just had a look at gsb's website. i should say it is so awesome that i can only rank it the second to none among websites of top business schools...en, stanford gsb also has a terrific website with tons of useful information.

Chicago GSB is an excellent school. It welcomes applicants from all kinds of backgrounds to help them to reach their career goals. We got students from all kinds of backgrounds and graduates of GSB works in all industries and functions.

When applying GSB, your first priority is to tell the school what you want, what your plan is and how GSB could help you to do that. If GSB found you the fit, you will be admitted. Admission is all about the FIT.
