I would like to apply for 2006 MBA of Chicago program. I am now in Chicago for training. I am an equity analyst and our company has many Alumni of Chicago GSB. I am a CFA charter holder. W/E 4.5. GMAT 700, AWE 4.5, TOEFL(CBT)>250, every part>25. Need I schedule an interview here to increase my chances to enter Chicago GSB? Or anything else I can do here? I will return to Shenzhen in the end of September?

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy 1st-year schedule. Before I post my questions, I would say, since I spent 4 years, 3 months and 18 days in Hyde Park for grad school, I'll be happy to provide any information about Chicago and Hyde Park. )

I plan to visit U of C this October to visit GSB and recruit Ph.D. students from my old department (a weird combination, huh?). I really look forward to the trip, especially for the first part. Maybe I'd be honored to meet with some of the first-years at GSB?

Only the invited could be interviewed this year. But I think you could still make an appointment with the adcom office to show your comittement. Anyway, dont waste the chance to visit the school and talk to the students here to get more information, since you are already here.

Hi pino,

Since the first quarter is about to begin one week later, i could not give you more objective feedback on the courses and professors. However, I can assure you that the courses here are carefully designed and the professors here are top-notch, an experience I got from GSB orientation program. Professors here are all from top programs in U.S. and they are extremely knowledgable in their academic areas. For example, in the orientation, one professor encouraged us to take behavior science courses by using an example of the cause of France Revolution, the next professor, who was from finance department, talked about the cause of the revolution from financial angle. It was interesting to see that all the following professors introduced their courses by talking the same topic, so that we could easily understand the core of these courses. It was extraordinary experience for me, making me very eager to expect the upcoming quarter.

For your second question, I dont think that you GPA is a problem. You should concentrate on the application rather than worrying your past. To tell you the truth, I am not from a top university in china and have a lower GPA than yours.
