50k to 60k is entry level compensation at a consulting firm. My salary postcollege was already 40K, 8 years ago. Friends who joined IE and consulting was making anywhere from 50k to 70k back then. I cannot believe the compensation for MBA is 50-60k considering added education and existing experience. I think it depends on the program and the person. From stat by various programs, at least the candidates from top 20 program starting salary is much more than 50-60K. Otherwise, I agree that the investment in an MBA does not make sense. About the tax system in the US, there is something called "deduction" depending on individual situation. For any one who would like to reduce as much tax as possible, I suggest that you speak to a tax consultant. If you have investements, and assets, it is definitely worth looking into. |
