Is this breaking News?

Today I watched the ABC news, knew Pope has die, All of west media, even hk media, broadcasted or covered this news as breaking news or headline, but when I watched CCTV9 news, I couldn't find any reports about this thing, like it didn't even happen at all, I'm stunning, when will they know the truth?????

It is a news, but not a breaking news at all. It may relate to religious people, but I don't think most Chinese will be interested in such news. And, other news media in China does spread it. I agree that our government has margin on improving freedom of news, but on this particular thing, I don't see anything inappropriate. This forum is not a news or religious area, that's why they deleted your post, I guess.

I think this is more about interest of the public than freedom ofspeach or religion.  How many % of chinese even know about thepope?
