严重支持E,stinger 怎么去result??

OG只说with the result of不对，并没有说with the result that不对。Longman里也只有as a result of和with the result that,  而没有with the result of.

同意, with the result of虽然结构上不好,但至少不错,而OG里那道题干脆就是词组with the result of 根本不对.

看这道Og题似乎得到ETS认为with the result 表达极罗嗦的结论：

78.  The root systems of most flowering perennials either become too crowded, which results in loss in vigor, and spread too far outward, producing a bare center.

(A) which results in loss in vigor, and spread

(B) resulting in loss in vigor, or spreading

(C) with the result of loss of vigor, or spreading

(D) resulting in loss of vigor, or spread

Choice C is flawed by the nonparallel verb spreading and the wordy phrase that begins with the result of.

不知道大家是不是由此得到了with the result of不好的结论。我觉得with结构的确不如用动名词更简洁。但这只是一个相对错误。C的问题是stinger...results in the fact that the act of stinging causes die.而不是stinger is heavily barbed and stays where it is inserted 导致死亡。C的逻辑问题不可以原谅，so still vote for E~ 如果有非常完美的答案出现才可排除E，因为E在逻辑和语法上都至少是正确的。
