我觉得这道题应该选E，请大家指教。 C和E的不同之处在于C的主干是Stinger...results in the fact that ...
E的主干是Stinger is heavily barbed and stays where it is 这整一个特征事实with the result that ...
关键在于是“蜇刺”导致了后面的结果，还是“蜇刺”的这些特点（heavily barbed, stay where it is）导致了后文的结果。鉴于ETS总喜欢考主谓逻辑意义上的搭配，我觉得E更合理点。
Longman上的参考例句：
1. with the result that
    Sara wasn't at school last week, with the result that she missed an important test. 是前面半句说的整个事实导致了后面缺考的结果。
2. result in something
    to make something happen
    ... an accident that resulted in the death of two passengers

我选了E，第二题，对了答案发现错了，很伤心。
做这套题一共错了7个，前10题错了3个，杀人的心都有。。

C除了上面有人提到的逻辑问题外，好像句子重心也不太对头。如果改成：the honeybee's stinger is heavilybarded and stays where it is inserted, resulting in the fact that theact of sting causes...也要好点，有前后结果关心

即便这样resulting in the fact that the act of sting causes.还是不好，result in 后必须加名词,只好用多余的fact

with the result that就可以直接跟句子了

OG只说with the result of不对，并没有说with the result that不对。Longman里也只有as a result of和with the result that,  而没有with the result of.

我是選C,但我想問的是,中間從heavily開始算是插入句嗎?以及heavily與staying這樣算平衡嗎?

A. 代词it指代一句话，不好。

B. 没有主句，不对。

C. 主语，伴随结构，谓宾。主句是The honeybee’s stinger results in the fact。

D. 主句是The heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays ..., and results in the act of stinging ... 就是stinger导致了一个行为（act），句意不如C好。

E.  结尾的   ，with结构，不好。

比来比去，C合理。
