I think this is my second time following this thread. I feel sorry for the quarrel here, and to be honest, have obtained nothing but negative impressions on several so-called "top" MBA programs from the comments of their students. I know it may sound unfair to come up with this generalization, but I had expected the admission processes of these schools would be able to select mature, humble and open-minded people, unlike several "fighters" here - from their comments, I sense over-defensiveness and sometimes arrogance. I was no better than any of these people several years ago unfortunately, but now I know what I should be like as an adult and an potential MBA student. If I were to attend an MBA program, I would expect my classmates to be open, kind, willing to share, and humble. If a program fails to assure that, I assume it's because either it doesn't value these characteristics, or it is incapable of finding the right candidates. That's why I'm disappointed. I would have considered applying to these schools, but now I'm determined not to. |
