To Pudding:

1) Don't do it yourself if it's for Registrar to fill. Just leave it blank. There are other places in the application form that you can put in the GPA.

2) I would just leave it the way it is.

To d197412,

1) Mail as soon as you are ready, don't worry about the X'mas mail delivery issue.

2) As to the essay, there were some discussions earlier here, read those. It's meant to be a self-evaluation, so I would summerize all the key points, and may give some small examples. Put youself in AO's shoes. Don't be too shy in praising yourself, but dont be too arrogant either.

To Delphine18:

It usually takes a few weeks since they need to contact with alumni to conduct the interview. The interview doesn't have to be done before the deadline. Send them an email if you are worried about the time.

KelloggChinese,

As for the Transcript issue, is the Transcript Request form really necessary ( I mean in additional to the Transcript already signed and sealed by the university)?

I would like to post the material ASAP and don't want to spend time going back to my former school and contacting the Registrator just in order to fill in the few blanks...Pls. understand my Transcripts have been prepared years ago.

Thanks!

Dear Kelloggchinese, please help me on below questions,

1) I submitted part I on 12/19, but my recommender hasn't received e-mail from the school yet, I have confirmed that the e-mail address is correct. Is it normal? Should I contact the AO or wait further?

2). Should I write something on the envolope of the transcript? If yes, how do you write?

To Delphine18: I personally didn't use the Transcript Request forms during my application. It's usually not a big issue, use your own judgement though.

To Jefferyli: 1) AO may or may not contact the recommender directly. You can check your application status on the website. It'll show you whether or not all materials have been received. 2) You can put down your name and address, school name for the transcript.

供那些吃不准DOUBLE SPACE和页数限制的XDJM, ADCOM可以接受稍微超出2页的, 但一定要让他们看得轻松.

About the essay format. Can I use 1.5 line spacing instead of 2? I tried really hard to fit my essays in 2 pages, but, with 2.0 spacing, 2 pages are quite tight.

Hi,

We request that applicants use double spacing for our essays, as they are more readable & easier on our eyes.  We'd probably prefer that an essay slightly exceed 2 pages rather than lessen the line spacing, but that is your call.

Best Regards,

Kristen

I asked for a offsite interview, they told me there were no space. Don't know if it is bad sign. By the way, I did interview last year

Hi, I have a question about Kellogg essay number 4:

"Complete three of the following five questions or statements. (two to three paragraphs each) "

Does everyone really only write two to three paragraphs? How did you do it? It is so hard to squeeze any topic down to three paragraphs :-(

Kellogg Chinese: If I write 4-5 paragraphs instead but within 500 words, will it piss the adcom off and hurt my application?

Thanks a lot!!!

continuing my question above:

or if I write three long paragraphs, will it be a problem? what is a reasonable word limit for two to three paragraphs?

Thanks!
