我怎么觉得怎么也是“the processes in which the language produced” 还有就是by which it is produced and understood has revealed not underlying simplicity but great complexity 会有歧义理解成some people (or nationality or whatever) produced the language by the processes。 这对比The dealer was asked to sell a paining by Picasso.
思考得很深入啊~赞一个! processes produce language是说得通的,这里有点metaphor,类似“汗水铸就成功”“习惯决定命运”.... some people produce language by(through) the processes也是说得通的 以上两者都说得通,所以the processes by which language is produced就有歧义。
或者再来个类比吧: 我们通常说:the professor who wrote XXX textbook 而不会说:the professor by whom the xxx textbook is written 因为这里professor和wrote是直接的主谓关系,所以就用active voice来强调动作和动作发出者之间的联系。 |
