For those interested in Finance, Yale SOM offers incredibleconnections.  In the following two links, you can see SOM can lineup a long list of lengendary names.  A phenomena you can't imaginein most b-schools.

A Private Equity Club head from Darden said, "it (the Yale PE conference) is only possible at Yale."  

I personally think HBS could do sthg similiar, but no other schools.

Hi Great taste, I will travel to Washington from China, and plan to visit New Haven if possible.  How far from Washington to New Haven, and should I take shuttle bus or train? I have no idea and never been to USA before. Please give me some information, thanks.  I am applying Yale and will be interviewed in BJ in March.

Congr. on your interview invitation.  I think train is a better option. You can go to www.amtrak.com to check the schedule and to buy tickets. It takes around 3-4 hrs from Washiongton to New Haven.

I assume you are asking about the "fit" factor.   eople see "same" things in different ways. So there is not a formula which you can plug numbers in and you get the result.  I believe the best way to choose a b-school is to do the research: understand the school, understand yourself, and understand the process. You make the final call on whether you are fit with the school.

I'm so interested in Yale MBA non-profit. My score is poor,G680(V35,Q48), 4.5, Jan05. T617(61,63,61), 4.5, Aug03. GPA3.3. BA ofAdvertising from Beijing Broadcasting Institute. 9 years in Ad field(TVstation, local ad egency, world leading media company) and 1 year innon-profit(animal protection) with not too bad working experience. Ihave been in the US a year and is a permanent resident.

Now it's near the deadline of third round. Do I still have chance to be admitted, even to get scholarship?
