先说说我的思路:
C补全: this fact is either beside the point, since much irradiated food is eaten raw, or else misleading, since cooking is usually the final step in preparing food for consumption, whereas irradiation serves to ensure a longer shelf life for perishable foods. 大概逻辑过程为:前面Proponents 指出的是事实, 但要么因为很多irradiated food是生吃的,不存在cooking破坏营养的现象,那个事实也就beside the point, 要么因为cooking是准备食物的最后一步,而irradiation是用来保证易坏食品放的时间长的,(根本不具有比较意义), 所以前面的事实也就misleading.
[我第一边看这个题,反映出来的意思为: cooking是最后一个步骤,而irradiation是前面的步骤,(两者的作用最终还是相加的). 这样就和E选项一个逻辑了. 唉,还是阅读不过关啊]
E补全: this fact is either beside the point, since much irradiated food is eaten raw, or else misleading, since for food that is both irradiated and cooked, the reduction of vitamin B1 associated with either process individually is compounded.大概逻辑过程为:前面Proponents 指出的是事实, 但要么因为很多irradiated food是生吃的,不存在cooking破坏营养的现象,那个事实也就beside the point,要么因为两个过程是相加的(又不是两者选一个, 那么大小不都是正作用嘛), 所以前面的事实也就misleading.
E看起来也象正确答案,但仔细想想, 两个趋势相同的东西,更要比较程度, 因为这个时候可以确定主要因素,从而改进. 比如本题那么如果cooking 99%破坏B1, irradiation %1,那么Proponents 可以很容易得出一个结论,irradiation根本不是大问题. ,上面的比较也就不是misleading了
