如果补出they do, 这里do 是指代have, 原句变为they have now about,,,

但是前半句是know about，所以这里补出逻辑上很奇怪，不补是不是比较好呢？

我记得之所以B正确A错是因为A的过去时有问题。全句补充完整是

我的理解是：因为涉及“现在”与“将来”的比较，would 即强调了时态的先后顺序，又有表情态意义的功能，相当于may, should

意思为“也许该知道”，更贴切；
