OG-11中A为什么不可以啊，它本身有语法错误吗？还是就因为和E比起来较差啊？
OG-46中用排除法我能选出E，可是主句中用showed为什么重句中都是一般时啊？
是因为show that ……(should) do 的结构吗？

11T中的分词短语在句首是ETS很常用的题型, 也是送分的题. 做题的关键是看主句主语是否与短语的主语相同. 以后看到此类题,就找主语, 能够很快排除2-3个答案, 节省时间.

46. 表事实,真理的从句用现在时, 和主句的时态无关.

11题我就不说了；
我给你说一下46题的解题思路：
（1）排除a/b，原因是并列明显不对；
（2）比较c/d/e，发现除了时态不一样以外，还有quick和quickly的区别。扔掉c;
（3）比较d/e，我不太喜欢看时态，我们就看看其他的，这是a的说法我们从平行结构入手they have required less medication and will gain weight more quickly than do ,do是不能替代前面的动词的。所以,d绝对不对。所以，选e
其实，个人认为E也不是最佳答案。因为，少了一个do.但是，这种说法是不正规的。但是，这就是gmat的语法，答案是比较出来的。

This novel is based on historical facts.这部小说是以历史事实为根据的。
11题中的A我为什么不能理解成“学者以许多古代作家的叙述为依据…………”呢？

base的动作发出者不能是生命体。

你是不是指be based on的主语不能是人啊，那如果11题的A改成basing on 是否就可以了呢？

也不可以，base就没有这种用法，我说的动作发出是广义上的

可是牛津上还有这么一句"I base my hopes on the good news we had yesterday."这里的主语不就是人了吗？
我不知道我是不是有某一个概念混淆了，始终没搞清楚，麻烦你再解释一下，谢谢！

base的用法我再查一下，但是就gmat的语法而言我没有看到过你说的那种句子。
如果把 A 答案的based 改成basing ,我认为依然选E.因为，use的含义更加广泛。在没有上下文提示的基础上，use更加合理。
