答案没有问题，选E。有问题的是E中是 if x do sth， y do sth ，为什么不是y will do sth，答案中解释的是 exercise 和 gain 都用的是一般现在时。但原句中的gain 前的will 不可以看做是省略了吗？貌似有点映象是助动词在什么什么情况下都不能省，是这里的情况吗？

帮顶一个， 答案没有问题，不能省的情况是我总结的是 同样内容功能不同平行里不能省 ，但是这里不知道2个wii都省是什么情况。。。

这里是意思要求，if  calves do....they ...., they 还指代前面从句的主语

答案中解释的是 exercise 和 gain 都用的是一般现在时。但原句中的gain 前的will 不可以看做是省略了吗？貌似有点映象是助动词在什么什么情况下都不能省，是这里的情况吗？

我觉得这里不是省略will，而是改变了后面这句的时态，原来是一般将来时改成了一般现在时，表示一个事实或观点。如果用将来时也要用would do吧，因为主句，study..showed that.
但是这里从表达逻辑意思来讲还是用一般现在时说的通

有道理！现在的疑问是，是不是那些实验啊，研究啊如果是用showed（一般过去时）来陈述一个事实后面的事实最多只能用一般现在时？ 后面的那个条件状语从句个人认为在正常情况下应该是用if  x do ，y will do 的情况，只是这里放在showed 的后面了，就用一般现在时了？
