Even the essay questions literally state “500 words or less”, does the rule “10% more or less” still stay?

Yes, I think so. My essays are around 550 words.

Hi Sloan guys,

I just want to apply Sloan MBA program next year, and i have not got a GMAT score now.

Below is my background:

Education:

1999~2003, Zhejiang University, Electrical Engineer, BS

2003~2006, Zhejiang University, Power Electronics, MS

the GPA is about 3.5/5~4/5

Work experience:

2006.4~now, marketing product engineer in a America company based in Shanghai

Here are my questions:

1. Does Sloan prefer engineer background?

2. I only get about 3 years work experience when I start to apply Sloan MBA program, is that enough to apply? Does Sloan have any request for work experience? And if I just work for 1 company before I apply the program, is it ok?

3. If I failed next year, can I apply again in the year of 2010?
