我的感觉是:those, these, that, this, it等只有单独使用,才涉及指代的问题。在 A中,这儿的those后面有mother,就像是those books, that tree一样,它没有代替前面的什么。只有比如There are 20 people and those dressing in red will stand in a row 中的Those才指代前面的东东(people)。
首先一点,这些代词绝对不能单独作主语(跟this is a book中的this有何区别?)。比如:This assists....; Those help...等。
