fayer,I am a first-year student instead of an admission officer To questions about GA,I want to write a summary here: There are two kinds of GAs here: 5 hours/week and 12 hours/week.For the 12-hour one,you get $10,000 per year for tuition and $500 per month for stipend for ten months. For 5-hour one,the tuition and the stipend will both be about half. The most work of GA is grading paper or doing research for a professor. It won't take a lot of time. But if you unfortunately have an engineer background as me and are assigned to be a teaching assistant for K201, it will take you a lot of time. The good side is you have opportunity to improve your communication and public speaking. BTW, scholarship generally will come in a seperate mail from admission, so please be patient. |
