Congratulations to those who already got offers and good luck to those who will have interviews!

I am glad that there are far more people here in recent days. Welcome!

Besides serious stuffs, one thing I really loooooooooooove IU is the opportunites to enjoy diversified world-class music with cheap price

I just went to a broadway show called Hairspray last night. It's very exciting and funny.

Besides New York, IU is probably one of few places where we can enjoy many different shows every year. Even in big cities like Chicago, you only get one on show for 2-3 months.It may be because IU has a really top music school and thus a wide network in the music world.

If you choose Kelley finally, don't miss such a great opportunity. Even our professors said that don't leave Kelley without enjoying one show or symphony.

Yeah, this is one important reason I choose Kelley. I intened to choose Entertainment Academy or Marketing Academy. I want to change my carrer to music industry, this is what I express in both my application and interview. Anyone know something about this industry? I find almost no Chinese was engaged in this academy.

My 2nd choice is Marketing Academy because mostly I want to do markeing related jobs in music industry. I know Kelley is strong at this.

So my questions is when will we start to apply for academy. What creteria will the committee consider? If I don't have marketing background, but only finance and operation eperience, will this be a disadvantage? Usually every student can only apply for one academy?

Maerge, so do you mean if I already get fellowship, the possibility for me to get a GA work is little? BTW, do you know something about the amount of fellowship granted to applicants from mainland China these two years?

You are right. If you have fellowship, the chance to have GA is very little. You can still try, but should be very hard. For the fellowship, I would say it would be less than 10,000 per year, much less than GA because you don't have to work. And my understanding is fellowship may only apply for the first year. Not sure if Kelley changed the policy recently. You should double check with Tim Smith.

How about the intership hunting this year? I heard the full time job hunting for class 2007 is pretty cool....

All, I guess you can sense how friendly our Kelley family is. You know, Olivia, Hylrd and other guys are all very busy and they still took so many time here to help you out. They did a better job than what we used to do two year ago. ^-^ Go ahead and keep doing, Hoosiers!

I know a girl from mainland China took entertainment academy, she is class 2005 and now works in LA. You will be asked to make a choice right after you finish the Orientation. I remembered that I can have three choice 3 years ago. Olivia, anything changed this year? And yes, you can have one one academy in the end but you can change it at the beginning of the second year. Your past experience will help you compete with others but the final result is highly depends on the professor. If you are really interested in the academy, talk to the professor and show your interests. I am very positive that you can  make it.

For the marketing academy, we have two choice: B2B and B2C. they are different and you should make a choice.

2007 full time searching is really cool. Everybody got several offers.

As always, marketing people are ahead of finance people. Several marketing guys already had offers, but we finance people are still working on it.

Kelley's on-campus recruiting always starts earlier than other schools, so there are still plenty of time and I hope everyone is happy in the end.
