八月份有几门预备课程，我大学都学过的，想听听校友的意见：是早点来学校，买好教材（卖旧教材还是新教材？）自己看，还是参加学校的课程？

我会Feb. 27 (next Tuesday) 下午去Kelley做campus interview。我的interview是在3:30pm的。

想请问各位current students， 有没有机会能在Kelley见见你们, 比如一起吃午饭？ 或者可不可以帮我约一个不太上CD但是在周二有一点点空闲时间的current students?

如果学过，就不用上了。否则建议还是上一下，因为第一学期的课很恐怖，没有基础的话会很难过。

So I will consider taking the August class. BTW, I hear books in US are expensive, so do you always buy new ones or buy used ones from your 2nd year students? 

Another question is about life in Kelley. Will you suggest me to learn driving before come to Kelley? Is it necessary or it will be MUCH more convenient if I can drive?

I try to buy used ones or international editions.

Bloomington is a small town and the public transportation is good, so driving is not a must at the beginning. But if you can drive, it is definitely more convenient.

Now I am considering about housing. I see so many choices both on-campus and off-campus. For student from mainland China, in the 1st year, which one will you recommend to us new comers?

Fayer, you are pretty fast!

I recommend on-campus ones, especially Campus View or Tulip Tree. They are nice apartments. You don't need to worry about paying bills or transportation and can focus on your study.

If you prefer off-campus ones, Fountain park is a good choice because it is near school and on the bus line. It is more like a house.
