33.   The spraying of pesticides can be carefully planned, but accidents, weather conditions that could not be foreseen, and pilot errors often cause much larger deposits of spray than they had anticipated.

(A) weather conditions that could not be foreseen, and pilot errors often cause much larger deposits of spray than they had

(B) weather conditions that cannot be foreseen, and pilot errors often cause much larger deposits of spray than

(C) unforeseeable weather conditions, and pilot errors are the cause of much larger deposits of spray than they had

(D) weather conditions that are not foreseeable, and pilot errors often cause much larger deposits of spray thanB

(E) unforeseeable weather conditions, and pilot errors often cause much larger deposits of spray than they had

That the new managing editor rose from the publication’s “soft” news sections to a leadership position is more of a landmark in the industry than her being a woman.
(A) her being a woman
(B) being a woman is
(C) her womanhood
(D) that she was a woman
(E) that she is a woman

123. Advertisement: Today’s customers expect high quality. Every advance in the quality of manufactured products raises customer expectations. The company that is satisfied with the current quality of its products will soon find that its customers are not. At MegaCorp, meeting or exceeding customer expectations is our goal.

Which of the following must be true on the basis of the statements in the advertisement above?

(A)   MegaCorp’s competitors will succeed in attracting customers only if those competitors adopt MegaCorp’s goal as their own.

(B)   A company that does not correctly anticipate the expectations of its customers is certain to fail in advancing the quality of its products.

(C)  MegaCorp’s goal is possible to meet only if continuing advances in product quality are possible.

(D)  If a company becomes satisfied with the quality of its products, then the quality of its products is sure to decline. C

(E)    MegaCorp’s customers are currently satisfied with the quality of its products.

答案是C。Lawyer把这道题归为assumption,但我怎么看怎么觉得是must be true,但按照must be true的方法是无法解出来的,请求一些解题的思路!!

129. The "new pasts" mentioned in line 6 can best be described as the

(A)         occurrence of events extremely similar to past events

(B)         history of the activities of studying, interpreting, and reading new historical writing

(C)        change in people's understanding of the past due to more recent historical writing(C)

(D)        overturning of established historical interpretations by politically motivated politicians

(E)         difficulty of predicting when a given historical interpretation will be overturned

B(Historians sometimes forget thiat history is continually being made and experienced before it is studied, interpreted, and read. These latter activities have their own history, of course, which may impinge in unexpected ways on public events. It is difficult to predict when "new pasts" will overturn established historical interpretations and change the course of history.)

132. The passage suggests that C. Vann Woodward and Thomas Paine were similar in all of the following ways EXCEPT

(A)            both had works published in the midst of important historical events

(B)            both wrote works that enjoyed widespread popularity

(C)           both exhibited an understanding of the relevance of historical evidence to contemporary issues

(D)           the works of both had a significant effect on events following their publication

(E)            both were able to set aside worries about historical anachronism in order to reach and inspire

Paine had intended to reach and inspire: he was not a historian, and thus not concerned with accuracy or the dangers of historical anachronism.然后说Woodward是historian(文章没有明确Woodward是historian),so he worried about anachronism个人觉得这个解题的逻辑也有点问题啊。。。

刚开始全职复习,og进行中,有没有差不多进度的考友,msn:gracie2000_cn(A) hotmail.com

一起复习可以讨论和互相勉励一下,可以的话MSN加我:hengfangjiang(A) hotmail.com
