有谁可以讲一下double和twice的区别,还有prohibit和forbid的用法, 有没有prohibit that 和forbid that的用法?

(D) since then more than doubled its circulation

(E) more than doubled its circultation since then

ok,我做错了这题，不过后来看了答案就明白了。huyayin 的确打错了字，不过还要算我基本功不扎实，否则不该一看见那个小问题，就立即否决了正确答案。

首先，我看的是时态。since then里面应该只能跟has/have done sthg.的现在完成时。那就剩下B.C.了。这时候就很容易区别了。increase 和double是重复的意思。所以B是一定错误的。就只有C是正确的。虽然C里面since放在has后面的写法平时见得不多，但是这个写法却说不上什么语法错误，只是中国人不太习惯而已。多看看也就习惯啦。

double可以做动词，twice是副词呀。prohibit 和 forbid之间的差别我不清楚。那位同学有词典，查一下。我也很想知道。

刚从xdf的网络教程里学来的，呵呵

double在gmat中只有主动语态，即使主语是物也一样，eg. The price doubled in 2 weeks.

prohibit sb from doing sth

forbid sb to do sth

prohibit/ forbid sth...

从来没有prohibit/ forbid that从句

D是正确选项. E为什么不对.我觉得D的they指代不清. 而E反而比较清楚. 此题是大全885补充250的第一套第8题.

D是正确答案. E为什么不对? 为什么用过去时?

D里因为有think, 和view平行了，所以they自然就指代了nuclear power stations.

E里少了that, 宾语从句必须有that，定语从句才可以省略that。

根据主句中的rose确定是这个句子是过去时态，GMAT里过去时态不可以和现在时态混用。不过这个比较结构很特别，不知道谁能给具体分析一下句子结构呀，还是只能用排除法做，谢谢！
