Note: Please submit your McCombs MBA essay questions online. You are required to answer all three questions. The Admissions Committee is not looking for any “correct” answers to these questions; we simply want to get to know you better.

1. Discuss your intermediate and long-term career goals, as well as a current vision of your desired employment upon graduation. Your explanation should include, but is not necessarily limited to the following: how you will leverage your professional and personal experiences in pursuit of these goals; why an MBA is necessary to achieve them; and why McCombs is the right MBA program for your career path. (Limit 1000 words).
    

2. Please choose one of the following (Limit 500 words):
    

   1. What non-professional accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

one question for LZ: I am interested in general management and wish to work in the management consulting area. UT-Austin is a very good school. I want to know if it is strong in general management? Thanks a lot.

A lot of consulting companies recruit in McCombs:

McKinsey, BCG, AT Kearney, Booz Allen Hamilton, Mercer, and Deloitte Consulting. This might be a indicator of general management.

As I have not taken those management courses, I have no say on the academics.

On the school website, it says people who got a bachelor's degree in US can waive the TOEFL requirement. I have got a master's degree in the US, not bachelor's. Do you happen to know if I can have the TOEFL waived automaticly? Or do I have to submit a formal request of waiver? I called the MBA admission office but nobody answered. I left a message but nobody got back to me (I am in the US). Thank you in advance!

You will have to take a test. A master's degree does not work here. Only with a Bachelor's degree you can waive TOEFL.

Take TOEFL ASAP.

The school will process as soon as your file is complete. If it arrives two days later than the deadline, it is OK, but  not too late.

请教楼主，现正准备McComb的申请，发现其网上申请最为复杂。现在application和essay部分已基本搞清楚，但发现还有一部分与my application并列的my scholarship application部分，我理解应该是申请奖学金用的。但点进去以后就说我什么都没sumbit，如何申请及需递交何种材料，比如是否需专门写一篇申请奖学金的essay再帖上去，都没有清楚提示。因此想请教楼主，McComb对于奖学金有何种政策，是和其他多数学校一样自动考虑，无需申请者单独申请，还是需要单独申请，具体如何操作？对于my scholarship application那部分我该如何处理。多谢，盼复。

自动考虑，无需申请。

我不记得有这部分了。好像学校的申请并没有，我去年看见整个大系统－－德州学校申请的部分有scholarship的部分，但是不用填。

那太好了，不用管那部分了。再请教楼主一个问题。McComb网站上要求我将推荐信直接寄给学校，但我的推荐人都想和其他学校那样网上递交，不知McComb可不可以接受网上递交。不过我在网申时没看到有填推荐人电邮的地方。从上周起打招办电话就没人接，留言也没回。

请问楼主，McCombs 怎么念，有何来历？

听说McCombs 的finance 在texas 就业情况不错，是吧，但它最引以为荣的是marketing,请介绍一下这方面的情况，我可能要在面试的时候谈到这些，谢谢！
