很久前刚开始接触GMAT时一看到题目毫不犹豫反映选B，现在反而被这道题目的讨论吓了一跳。考虑了浏览了半天仍然选B。理由MINDSFREE等前辈说的很详细。
个人补充如下。
产生B D之争的原因是，这里SAME CONCEPT是不是指HIRE那2个人。
有的人会把题目认为是公司本身就有个AFTER THIS 的逻辑错误，把HIRE 那两个什么人和公司吸引客户联系起来。于是错跟错，选则他认为的公司的ASSUMPTION选D。
但我认为一个明显的逻辑错误不会如此出现CR一个要求选ASSUMPTION的提干里，因此这里的SAME CONCEPT就是 如CATALOG。所以ASSUMPTION是B。

我觉得这题出得实在很烂。我也是考前实在郁闷，所以上来说两句： 首先，结论肯定是建立在家具销售和衣服销售的可比性上，而且“应该”是在取得销售成功的关键因素上具有可比性。那么，衣服销售的成功都有哪些因素呢，1）雇佣了两个人。2）用杂志风格的漂亮目录吸引高端消费者。（具体是否犯了“A before B, then A caused B”的罪行不去管它，因为这一点只涉及到衣服销售，而与家具销售无关。既然考虑可比性，应该找与两者都相关的方面。）


无论如何，第2点应该是衣服销售取得成功的关键因素，如果要借鉴或推广，这一点也是居功至伟。至于第1点只是次要的、从属的、辅助性的。所以题干结论中的concept也是指第2点，而不是第1点。而出题人并没针对基于第2点的assumption出题，这是很无聊的。


我不认为B选项是正确答案。有人认为“取非”后，原结论不成立，所以是正确答案。但问题是B选项的命题超出了题目相关的范围。我们可以在更大的范围内做如下陈述：“人要买家具”，取非后得到“人不买家具”，此时，家具销售不可能取得成功。但我们不能因此而认为“人要买家具”是题干推理所基于的assumption。

我认为很多人题没看清，是plan's assume而不是什么conclusion的assume。这个conclusion是想出来的，而不是文章提到的。文章没有提执行这个计划，要(或是能)达到什么目的。

如果是这样，plan和目的(有时可以认为是个conclusion)构成一个argument，这个argument可以有个assume(有时也认为是conclusion的assume)

就算是conclusion的assume，也就是为了a    big    jump    in    housewares    sales    会有一个什么样的必要条件？

    

B显然错，没有兴趣不代表a    big    jump    in    housewares    sales    ，可能有其它情况，使得a    upscale    clientle不得不去买更多的housewares。

而且assume是就是是，否就是否，不存在most。

D基本就是原计划的重述。它不成立，原计划(the same)也就不成立。
