Wharton's ranking is always higher than Columbia and it is the number 1 finance school in US. Columbia is also strong in finance but mostly because its location.
I heard the same thing from someone who worked at Citi. Students from CU got more job opptunities from Wall Street than any other B-Schools in US. You can check CU placement data. No other schools can send so many people to GS each year. (Even Wharton is bigger than CU)
Wharton is the No. 1 finance school and ranks among the top three FOR A REASON！
But I truly believe that different people will make different decisions. If you think finding a job on the street is the most important, CBS is surely a great place to go. Besides, it is an extremely good finance school! The value investing methodology is orriginated by CBS professors. This already explains how powerful this school is in finance!
而我选哥大的理由只有一个，地理位置。这里并不是从找工作的角度说的，哥大近水楼台的优势众人皆知。我更想提的是纽约作为一个城市的文化魅力。纽约是我最喜欢的城市之一。。。我知道并不是每个人都喜欢纽约的，就像不是每个人都喜欢北京一样。。。但是对我来说这个城市绝对属于一见钟情的那种，呵呵。引用伍迪艾伦的一句话：The Big Apple is not a city; it's an experience。相反，费城我也去过，实在是不喜欢，引用BW Forum上一个老美的话：Pilly is dirty and boring year-round.
我觉得大家不应该太看重排名(as long as it's a M7 school)，选哪所学校都是很personal的选择，听别人说一大堆不见得起多大的作用。我觉得不论去哪所学校你都不会后悔的。
