(A) as was the national average to be self-employed
(B) as the average American to be self-employed
(C) as the national average that they would be self-employed
(D) to be self-employed than was the average American
(E) that they would be self-employed than was the national average


prep笔记里面的解释
(A) the national average表达不清楚;was可以省略。
(B)        正确,the average American与Americans of …对称,be likely to do。

我想问下A选项was 为什么放在the national average 前面?就是说如果不考虑the national average 表达不清楚的错误,为什么不应该是as the national average was to be self-employed?

可以倒装,as。as这种结构有很多这种倒桩

我来试试看哈,
1. 一般来说莫名其妙的倒装GMAC是不推荐的,除非比较对象是一长串单词组成的名词+简单的动词。此时可以倒装以维持句子结构的平衡。但是这个句子中,倒装的意义没了;而且名词后还有个to be self-employed结构
2. 这个句子是个主语比较,而且比较对象很简单,所以即使不补出was也不会对句子意思的理解有影响

这都是习语:
1:twice as likely as /twice more than 都可以
2:be likely to
这样就剩A B了  
3:根据平行 americans 不与 average 对应   或者根据 as...as的主语比较 是不加be的   比较宾语才加动词
