thanks.

Is the learning team popular when studying in Wharton?  Or just like a voluntary club?

Any other team work experience you think impressive in Wharton?

回复:(aliceking)Wharton Q&A

Hi guys, thanks for doing so. I have a questions about housing there:

1> heard that most MBA students live in town, not on campus, could you tell me where it is?

2> any disadvantage for living in the dorm? (i thought it would be closer to schoo )

3> When should I look for house?

after coming back from a trip, just knew I was admitted in  R1

Hi, RHOD,

This is no standard learning style here at Wharton, for the school provides us with overwhelming resourses, both acamically and professionally. It is totally up to you to form your own learning style, besides that the classmates here have very diverse backgrouds, as Howard mentioned in his anwser about the learning team. We really learn a lot both from the professors and our classmates.

As for what impressed me about the learning experience here, I would say that the design of the overall curricular. It is well interwoven so as to ensure our knowledge base as solid as possible (in such a short period of time and so little sleep. ) For instance, we could have several professors talk about M&A from different angles at about the same time, professors of Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Managing People at Work, and Ethics.  Moreover, we also have classmates who either experienced M&A internally from a company or externally as a financial advisor or consultant. It is a quite learning experience!

to eutopia

i am another first-year student here. trust me, at Wharton, you can do anything you want and wharton do provide for its school. whether you can achive your goal depends on the target you set, your energy and motivation. you do have the chance to be a social animal!

the most challange here for us is to balance the stuffs you have to deal with. the guy who prepare most will achive most.

yes, at the first year, you are designated a learning team and at second year you can choose a learning team in any course if necessary. the learning team convey the spirit wharton values, that is, stay a long leadership soul while being a good team player. hope it answer your question.
