to csmd,

Congrs!

it depends upon your life style when choosing living place. if you prefer more night life, it is more convenient to live in center city, while if you get to have a lunch break or snap between afternoon class and EIS, school dorm is your choice.

apply for the school dorm ASAP while it is too early to look for an apartment now.

hope to see you at Philly.

note: aliceking will hold a coffee chart at evening of Dec 26th, welcome you guys to come, shoot aliceking a message if would like to attend and get more detailed information.

to rioluo3, thanks for your information. I am applying for Jan round and it seems that the first round is going really well (4 admitted as far as I know). I know that it's hard to answer but is it usually true that Round 2 will have more offers than or equal to Round 1? When usually the offer be released for Round 2( D-day in March 21)? Thanks.

yes, at the first year, you are designated a learning team and at second year you can choose a learning team in any course if necessary. the learning team convey the spirit wharton values, that is, stay a long leadership soul while being a good team player. hope it answer your question.

What is the criteria to designate a learning team in first year? Would you please give me a description of the industry backgrounds of a sample learning team?

It's so great to have rioluo3, Alice and Howard here at ChaseDream. Thank you!

Hi, Dukesam,

Sorry for the late reply. Frankly speaking, Wharton has many strengths academically, including Enterprenuership. We also have many enterprenuers in our class. For instance, we have one in our learning team, who always share with us his stories of happiness and sorrow.

In terms of the resourses in this regard, we have Enterprenureship as our major and many courses are offered along the line, the decison making, accounting, financing, legal, strategy and implementation and so on. Apart from that, we also have annual enterprenuership conference, during which time, students can have access to the VCs, enterprenuers, or partners from private equity.

Should you still need detailed despription about the courses, please find the info on Wharton's website at www. wharton.upenn.edu.

Good luck!

Hi, Rhod,

The criteria for learning team composition is diversity. By diversity, I mean nationality, profession, gender, ethical background and so on. Most of the learn teams are composed of 5 to 6 people, which usually includes 3 Americans and 2 or 3 international students. The backgrounds of the team members vary from team to team, since the whole student body have very diverse background. Please refer to Howard's answer about the backgrounds of his team. And as for mine, we have an investment banker who dealt with private banking, a marketer, an enterprenuer, an engineer, and I am from a state-owned commercial bank. Among them, 3 are from the states, one is from New Zealand and I am from China. I am the only girl in the team, which is a little bit rare, for there are usually 2 or more.

All in all, the rationale for the learning team is that we can not only establish our team building skills from day 1, but also have a precious oppotunity to learn from diverse background as in-depth as possible.

Cheers
